Bangkok - spirit houses. The belief is that if you make a space for the spirits that is nicer than your home, they will prefer to live there and protect the master's house. If you make improvements on the main home, improvements must be made to the spirit house as well. Offerings are left in the mornings, usually flowers, food, and drink.
